Hello everyone, my name is Sinan Tang, from Shanghai, China. My English name is Ariel, which is the name of the Little Mermaid in the Disney movie. I am a standard INFP, as my personality, introverted, not very sociable, but when necessary, I can instantly become extroverted and good communication with people, I actually have quite a lot of hobbies, I lobe to try all the activities that interests me, but the most important is usually like playing video games and listening to music.
I live in a standard unclear family of three, my parents adopt a “free-range” policy on me, and usually do not care much about me. They respect my ideas very much, and can send me to study abroad. This has formed my character of pursuing the sense of freedom. I have been study abroad since high school. Therefore I am not a stranger to the UK. The diversity and freedom of this city are two of the reasons in like it best here. I am looking forward to this precious opportunity to truly understand myself and determine the path I want to take in the future.
During my daily life, I like playing PSP and switch games and I enjoy both single-player and online games. In the game world, players are able to experience a lot of things that we cannot experience in reality. The sense of achievement of passing the games often brings me happiness .In my spare time, I also like listening to music, and I enjoyed classical music very much. Liszt is my favorite musician. In my home in Shanghai, I would play piano in my spare time and as I said before, I am good at alone time and treat it as a pleasure.
It is also worth mentioning that I like to play tarot cards. I have always believed that metaphysics is a way of knowing the world, which can link the world, nature and human beings. Whether people believe it or not, its charm is undeniable. The occult is often associated with many mythological stories. I am also very interested in these stories, because they are so romantic and grand.
It is worth mentioning that I have been studying the traditional Chinese clothing Hanfu and its various accessories recently. I felt it’s really attractive for me. Many craftsmen will try to make the headdresses and accessories of Hanfu by themselves, and their exquisite craftsmanship deeply attracts me, so I also began to make some by myself. I sincerely hope that more and more people can get to know this traditional clothing and know that it comes from China. Every stitch is a thousand years of inheritance. It is the cultural heritage that makes them beautiful.
Although nobody can predict what will happen in the future, I’m quite satisfied with my present life. And also I am so happy to meet so many classmates here and experience different cultures at my age. I really hope that I can constantly improve myself skills, make more friends and enjoy my everyday life.
